Dr. Cynthia Agbayani, Program Director
Dr. Agbayani has 20 years of experience as a home-based counselor for at risk youth and families, 15 years working with adoptees and their families, eight years as an outpatient counselor, and two years in a youth emergency shelter.  Dr. Agbayani wrote the book on how to do home-based counseling and her model is used by Family Teamwork and several other agencies in the region.  Her areas of special interest are attachment, trauma, and severe mental illness in youth and children.  She has specialized training in attachment disorder, working with difficult adolescents, the wrap-around approach, and parenting.  She served for four years as a member of a Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT), four years as a member of the Joint Action Review Committee, and four years as Vice President of the Virginia Association for Family Preservation.  She was recently appointed to a Community Management Planning Team.  Dr. Agbayani holds a doctorate in counseling studies and a masters in counseling.
Maureen Fannin, Clinical Director at Family Teamwork, Inc. 
Maureen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia. Since 1997, she has provided both intensive in-home and outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the Northern Virginia and D.C. metropolitan areas. She is the co-founder of LifeWorks Outreach Services, Inc.; developed an intensive outpatient substance abuse program, Changing for Good; developed GirlWorks, a self-esteem group for adolescent girls; and assisted in developing SelfWorks, a mental health supports program. Her areas of specialty and expertise include: Behavioral Disorders, Mood Disorders, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Addictions, Couples Therapy, Substance Abuse, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Maureen also has specialized training in Motivational Interviewing for Community Substance Abuse Programs; Attachment Theory and interventions; Sexually Compulsive Behavior, Theory and Treatment; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with both Borderline Personality Disorder and Suicidal Adolescents; Early Attachment Issues in Couples Therapy; Imago Couples Counseling; Diagnosis and Treatment of Adolescent Attachment Trauma Problems;  Emotional Manipulators and Codependents/Understanding the Attraction;  Clinical Supervision Training;  Professional Ethics; and Play Therapy. Since 2000, Maureen has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers,  holds both a Masters and Bachelors degree of Social Work, and has an Advanced Level certification in the Wraparound Process.

Our Staff

Lifeworks Outreach Services is a group of trained professionals who are diversely trained and credentialed to diagnose and treat essentially any mental, behavioral, or emotional health need. We are committed to the treatment of individuals and families in the Northern Virginia area who suffer from a wide range of mental illness, including substance abuse. Our clinical supervisors are all licensed or licensed-eligible clinicians. All treatment is provided by Licensed or Qualified Mental Health Professionals (LMHP or QMHP). It is our goal assist you with your need, and if for any reason our staff is unable to assist you with our services, we will make every attempt to connect you with alternative services.
